This project was done for the team consisting of Essaj, Joyal and Aby as part of our 1st year semester & design project.

It detects the presence of rain and closes the window when it rains.

Things used:

Working:
The rain sensor gives analog output which depends on the intensity of the water falling on the sensor. If it crossed a particular threshold (heavy rain condition) then the arduino nano turns the servo motor in such a way that it closes the window. When the rain stops, windows are automatically opened using the servo motor.
The programming of this project was done by me. The model of the project was made by Essaj which was really amazing!
