This post documents the latest features of SenseOS on iWSS. The latest version contains few fixes, improvements and feature additions. Read on to learn more.
And here are the changes:
1) Code has been optimized (by removing unnecessary variables,etc)
2) i-WiSwiSys no longer requires Internet connection for SunSetTrigger Feature!
Yes, you read that right. Earlier i-WiSwiSys used IFTTT service to receive the sunset time which required active internet connection. But due to network problems and delay on IFTTT's side, there were problems such as the light wouldn't turn ON at the required time or sometimes it never turned ON (due to network issues).
So, I had to say goodbye to IFTTT services. Now i-WiSwiSys has the capability to calculate Sun-Set Time locally on it without the use of internet. Thus even if there is no internet connection the light turns ON at the required time😀.
Because fewer dependencies = better working!
3) Connection status reporter
This features reports the user through a buzzer sound and on-board LED the current network connectivity status of i-WiSwiSys. To see a demonstration watch the video above.
At times my WiFi connection loses its internet access. But we notice it only when we try to use the internet. So I made this feature in order to indicate the current internet connectivity status of i-WiSwiSys as an effect the current status of my internet connection.
The blue LED stays ON as long as there is no internet access for i-WiSwiSys.
When a successful connection has been established (Internet access is available), the blue LED goes off with a buzzer sound.
If at any time the connectivity is lost, a buzzer sound is heard and the blue LED goes ON.
Current problems
With each versions I am trying to make i-WiSwisys work better and better by adding new features or by fixing or improving existing ones to work better. With this version I've fixed SunSetTrigger problem.
But currently there is a problem with Rain Alert Reporter feature. Its reporting is not accurate. I will be working on to fix that issue soon😄.
